activities and historic sites available in Havre de Grace and nearby. Special
events are scheduled regularly.

Concord
Point Lighthouse
|
The Concord Point Lighthouse marks
the spot where the Susquehanna River meets the tidal flow of the Chesapeake
Bay. You can climb the stairs to the top of the 36 foot high lighthouse. The
lighthouse is open to visitors May through October, 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday,
Sunday, and holidays. The grounds are open year-round.

Havre de Grace Decoy Museum
|
The decoy museum, located on the banks of the Susquehanna
River, has an extensive collection of working
and decorative Chesapeake Bay decoys. Displays feature the work of master
carvers and backyard craftsman from the Chesapeake Bay area. There are tours,
demonstrations and special events.

Havre de Grace Promenade
|
Stroll
the board walk overlooking the Susquehanna River. Watch the ducks splash,
feel the bay breezes and relax while scanning the horizon for boats.

Cruise on Martha Lewis, a working
oyster dredger
|
Take a one to two hour group cruise or
a private charter cruise on the Martha Lewis, a skipjack, a working oyster
dredge boat. Week long day camp for children ages 11-15. Check the schedule.

The
Susquehanna Lock House Museum
|
This
restored lock house is on the banks of the Susquehanna River near the
lighthouse. Havre de Grace was once the end of a canal system that extended
into Pennsylvania.

Maritime Museum
|
The
Maritime Museum on 100 Lafayette Street has exhibits on the area's nautical
heritage, antique and classic boats and maritime artifacts. Guided tours by appointment
only.

BaySail
School & Yacht Charter
|
BaySail School & Yacht Charter is approved
as a training facility by the American Sailing Association. A full range of
sailing instruction from beginner to charter courses is offered. BaySail, located at the Tidewater Marina at the foot of
Bourbon Street, also offers sailboats which are available for half and full
day rentals. Larger yachts are available for longer charters.

The
Susquehanna State Park

The
Susquehanna State Park is the largest state park in Maryland with 2,646
acres. There is an old grist mill, a museum, fishing piers, boat ramp, hiking,
biking, boating, fishing, wildflowers, bird watching of shorebirds and
eagles. There are remains of the Susquehanna and Tidewater canal system.
